O italiancă şi-a părăsit prietenul după ce l-a văzut în poze incriminante pe Facebook cu câteva zile înainte de nuntă.




Furioasă, Valeria A., de 28 de ani, a lipit afişe peste tot în Roma cu chipul logodnicului ei, Antonio M., după ce a găsit pe Facebook fotografii în care acesta apare între sânii goi ai unei femei. Valeria, împreună cu o prietenă, a lipit sute de afişe cu fotografia incriminatoare în capitala italiană, în zona în care Antonio merge la serviciu.


"Mulţumesc lui Dumnezeu că există Facebook! Cel puţin am descoperit că eşti un porc trădător înainte de nuntă! Semnează : Fosta ta logodnică şi mireasă şi cei 548 de invitaţi la nunta noastră", a scris Valeria pe afiş.

Soţii la indigo. Un thailandez s-a căsătorit cu două gemene

Nu s-a mulţumit cu o singura femeie, aşa că a luat în căsătorie două gemene. Este vorba despre un thailandez de 24 de ani care s-a căsătorit cu gemenele Sirintara şi Thipawan, de 22 de ani, pentru că era îndrăgostit de amândouă, anunţă AFP.

Thailandezul a început relaţia cu cele două femei în urmă cu trei ani. În tot acest timp, cei trei au ieşit în oraş împreună. Tot împreună erau şi când le-a spus pentru prima oară "te iubesc".

"Când le-am spus "te iubesc" pentru prima oară nu ştiam exact dacă era, Sirintara sau Thiwapan. Aşa că m-am hotărât să mă căsătoresc cu amândouă" a declarat Tao Wichai.

Acum. Bărbatul este nevoit să-şi împartă timpul între cele două neveste. Cei trei au pus la punct un aranjament cel puţin interesant. "În primele trei zile din săptămână dorm cu Thiwapan şi în celelalte trei, cu Sirintara. Duminica o petrecem toţi trei împreună, dar nu facem nimic" a explicat thailandezul.

Brbatul consideră că eset răsfăţat de ambele soţii. Amândouă îi gătesc şi nu ştiu cum să-i facă mai mult pe plac. Chiar dacă este privit ciudat de venicini, bărbatului nu-i pasă. Susţine că este foarte fericit alături de cele două femei.

China embraces green energy future, unveils electric-powered SUV

Because of a somewhat depressed auto market the 2009 Shanghai Motor Showoffered few surprises, but one bright spot was the hybrid concept vehicle unveiled by Chinese manufacturer Chang'An.

Dubbed the E301, the concept vehicle looks like a cross between a next-gen mini-SUV and an updated Delorean DMC-12 (aka the Back To The Future car) due to its futurist gull-wing doors. The car is billed as an electric vehicle, and while it looks contemporary enough to roll off the assembly line into real cities no release date has been announced. No, This Dancing Building's Bricks Are Not Falling Like Tetris

This isn't an animation, and it's not CGI and it's not a building doing the humpty dance. It's actually the old mint in downtown SF being painted by 7 perfectly mapped HD projectors.

Obscura Digital, the company behind the light show at Youtube's Symphony last week, has has used their propriety software to control a giant HD light show spread across multiple HD projectors for a Mcafee ad. Never mind the marketing purpose, this is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I think of it as using 3d graphics gear to make the real world look like video games, instead of using 3d graphics gear to make games appear realistic.

To get the image to look seamless, the software calculates distance and angle and surface shape of the building, compensating for brightness, picture shift, and other variables. This sort of thing would normally take months to plan, but they set up this example in a matter of days, due to the flexibility of the software. În ultima perioadă apar pe internet sau la televizor tot mai multe ştiri despre descoperirile pe care oamenii obişnuiţi sau oamenii de ştiinţă le-au făcut cu ajutorul aplicaţiei Google Earth. În top 10 descoperiri cu Google Earth vezi putea vedea lucruri şi locuri uitate de lume sau neştiute până acum.

1.) Un inginer aeronautic a descoperit cu ajutorul Google Ocean, în largul coastei Africii, o zona de mărimi considerabile care pare a fi construită de om şi care se potriveşte cu locaţia în care se presupune că s-ar fi aflat Atlantida.

Reţeaua de linii încrucișate care poate fi observată la 620 de mile de coasta Africii, în apropierea insulelor Canare, pe fundul Oceanului Atlantic, formează un patrulater, cu o suprafaţă de circa 20.000 de kilometri pătraţi. Zona a fost descoperită de un inginer aeronautic folosindu-se de noua funcţie implementată în Google Earth. 

Imaginea poate fi observată de oricine la coodonatele 31 15'15.53N cu 24 15'30.53W. Experţi în istoria Atlantidei au afirmat că aceasta poate fi una dintre locaţiile posibile ale insulei, aşa cum a fost descrisă de filosoful grec Platon. Potrivit acestuia, oraşul s-ar fi scufundat după ce locuitorii săi ar fi încercat, fără succes, să cucerească Atena în jurul anului 9000 î.e.n.



Ulterior urmele au fost analizate şi s-a constatat că nu erau altceva decât rutele parcurse de sonarele ce colectau date pentru realizarea de harti. subacvatice.

2.)   O altă descoperire făcută cu ajutorul Google Earth este acest cerc despre care s-a crezut că a fost făcut cu o tehnologie extraterestră. Nimeni nu a oferit până în prezent o altă explicaţie oficială, însă specialiştii chimişti au declarat că cel mai probabil culoarea roşiatică a apei provine în urma proceselor de tratare a apei.



4.)    Aceste formaţiuni ciudate au fost observate cu ajutorul Google Earth în apropiere de bazele aviatice din Statele Unite ale Americii şi Marea Britanie. Deşi Ministerul Apararii din Anglia a suştinut că ar fi trasee pentru motociclete, scepticii sunt de părere că aceste semne ar putea fi spaţii de calibrare pentru sateliţi.


5.)  Fanii prezentatoareei TV, Oprah Winfrey, o pot vedea oricând doresc pe Internet sub formă de... labirint. Aceasta are parte de un gigantic labirint creat de un fermier din Arizona. Acesta a fost un cadou pe care Winfrey l-a primit în 2004 în semn de preţuire din partea fanului său. 



6.)    În anul 1967, atunci cand a fost construit acest complex din San Diego, nu se utilizau la scară largă tehnologiile de fotografiere din satelit. Totuşi, odată cu lansarea Google Earth, un explorator a descoperit că cele patru cladiri care au forma literei “L” sunt aranjate în forma de svastică. Un ofiţer al Marinei Militare din SUA a declarat, în 2007, că se cheltuiesc aproape 600.000 de dolari pe an pentru ascunderea şi mascarea clădirii pentru a nu fi asociată cu simbolistica emblemei.

 

 
7.)    SS Jasmin este un vas cargo bolivian care s-a scufundat în apropiere de coasta Sudanului în anul 2003. În această imagine se poate observa epava vasului Jasmincare este una dintre cele mai mari epave vizibile prin Google Earth.




8.)    Aceasta formaţiune descoperită în Canada, este în întregime naturala. Faţa din imagine este de fapt o vale formată în urma unei  alunecari de teren şi  din cauza eroziunii solului argilos. Cei care au cercetat îndeaproape imaginea spun că forma din fotografie seamană foarte bine cu o persoană care poartă cercei sau chiar ascultă muzică în căşti, însă specialiştii geologi au explicat că dunga din imagine nu este  altceva decât un izvor subteran de petrol.





9)    În imaginea de mai sus se poate observa un cimitir al avioanelor din Arizona în care se găsesc peste 4000 de avioane militare. Aceasta este una dintre cele mai populare imagini descoperite cu Google Earth Earth şi postate pe Internet.




10)    Pe locul 10 în topul descoperirilor făcute cu Google Earth se situează o plantaţie de marijuana. Autorităţile elveţiene au descoperit din întâmplare o imensa plantaţie de marijuana cu ajutorul Google Earth. În urma acestei descoperiri au ajuns după gratii nu mai puţin de 16 persoane. Poliţia a confiscat peste 1,2 tone de marijuana, cantitate evaluată la 2,5 milioane dolari.

Unveiled at the 2009 Shanghai Motor Show, the Buick Business Concept is a MPV concept vehicle designed to showcase Buick’s future vision of “business class on the road” and targeted to the Chinese market.

The multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) was developed in China by the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC), a design and engineering joint venture between General Motors and Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC), with global design input.

"The Business Concept Vehicle captures the essence of the Buick form language, with its taut surfaces, double sweep spear belt line, strong front and rear identities and dynamic presence."




“The Business Concept Vehicle has a grand presence and makes a strong statement when it pulls up to the front of any establishment,” said Ed Welburn, GM Vice President of Global Design.


“The Chinese market and business person have some unique requirements. Our team has responded with an elegant solution to their business and personal needs.”

According to Cao Min, PATAC Concept Car Chief Designer, the design team set out to create a modern global design for Buick, yet include a subtle Chinese essence and influence.

To achieve this balance, they sought to draw from their heritage outside the automotive industry – from classic shapes to arts and ancient relics.

The Business Concept Vehicle’s dynamic exterior surfaces and“yin and yang” interior tones are drawn from diverse inspirations including the 2008 Buick Riviera concept car, Chinese artifacts and modern electronic icons.

Novitec TuLesto

Created by Novitec, the German car manufacturer that has become famous for its Ferrari-based extreme sportscars, the TuLesto is its first in-house developed project.

The mid-engine car features a V8 unit with dual superchargers and a rated power output of 777 hp / 571.8 kW and an aluminum/carbon fiber construction that allows to achieve a total weight of 1,260 kg, for a power-to-weight ratio of just 1.62 kg/hp.

The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes less than 3.4 seconds, and the 0-300 km/h time is 22.6 seconds. Top speed is more than350 km/h.

The design was pinned by Italian Luca Serafini, the creator of the Lamborghini Embolado and the Ferrari Concept 2008 - both exclusively presented by Car Body Design.

The TuLesto will be produced in a limited series of eleven units.

Technical Features

The high-tech engine produces a maximum power output of 777 hp / 571.8 kW at 8,200 rpm and a peak torque of 727 Nm at 6,300 rpm. Motorsports was also the inspiration for the power transfer:

The six gears of the semi-automatic gearbox with integrated anti-slip differential are shifted with carbon fiber paddles behind the steering wheel.

An adjustable traction control system with launch control for perfect starts guarantees maximum driving safety on the road and on the track.

As in GT-series racing, the TuLesto features double-wishbone suspension front and rear, height-adjustable struts with various selectable damping rates, and adjustable sway bars.

For easy negotiating of underground parking ramps or similar obstacles the TuLesto front can be raised four centimeters at the push of a button. The anti-lock braking system featuresceramic composite discs and six-piston fixed calipers front and back.

The ultra-light light-alloy wheels with diameters of 20 or 21 inches were custom-developed for this coupe and are fitted with semi slicks up to 355 millimeters wide on the rear axle.

Astronomii au descoperit cea mai îndepărtată dovadă a existenţei apei în Univers şi cred că vaporii de apă sunt prezenţi într-un jet emis de o gaură neagră uriaşă, dintr-o galaxie la miliarde de ani lumină depărtare.




Descoperirea făcută de o echipă mixtă formată din europeni şi americani a fost anunţată în cadrul convenţiei European Week of Astronomy and Space Science.


Apa era emisă de către gaura neagră când Universul avea doar 2,5 miliarde de ani şi poate fi văzută, datorită lungimii de undă specifice, la distanţe foarte mari în spaţiu.

Vaporii sunt observaţi printr-un maser (dispozitiv pentru amplificarea microundelor prin emisia stimulată a radiaţiei electromagnetice de lungime de undă corespunzătoare). „Am urmărit apa prin maser în fiecare lună de la detecţie şi am văzut un semnal stabil”, a declarat Dr. John McKean de la Institutul de Radio Astronomie din Olanda.

„Această descoperire susţine teoria noastră iniţială că apa se găsea la început în jeturile găurilor negre şi mai puţin probabil în discurile gazoase care le înconjurau”, a mai afirmat McKean.

Sky-Terra Towers Poised to Steal the Last Remnants of Sunshine from Humanity

Sky-Terra were designed with the intent of creating a green space in the sky. But am I the only one who sees a flaw with this logic?
Sprouting between buildings, the Sky-Terra (another entrant in the 2009 eVolo Skyscraper Competition) hopes to create a neuron-like network of parks, pools, amphitheaters and bathhouses in the sky.
So far, so good.
But what happens to those poor souls living their lives under the Sky-Terra? What about those millions of people not on holiday, who'd just like to walk to work with some shard of sun on their face?

Un păianjen Hawaiian, cunoscut şi ca "Happy Face Spider"

O specie a unui păianjen hawaiian, Theridion grallator, cunoscut drept "păianjenul Faţă-Fericită" are pe corpul său un model de faţă zâmbitoare galbenă, care seamănă foarte mult cu celebrul Smiley Face.


Echipa de cercetători care a descoperit în insulele Hawaii acest păianjen spune că arahnida are dimensiuni reduse şi nu prezintă un pericol pentru oameni.

Doctorul genetician Geoff Oxford, de la Universitatea din York, susţine că păianjenul a evoluat şi a dezvoltat interesantul desen de pe corp pentru a induce în eroare prădătorii, fiind o metodă de apărare.

Doctorul Oxford, care studiază păianjenii din anul 1993, a mai spus că "aceste semne neobişnuite de pe corpul arahnidelor din Hawaii a făcut din acestea adevăraţi ambasadori ai insulelor. Conservatorii se folosesc de imaginea acestora pentru a le promova, chiar şi prin intermediul cărţilor poştale, şepcilor şi chiar a tricourilor".

PONTIAC POINTED THE DOOR

General Motors has officially announced that that Pontiac brand will no longer be carried by the company. Several months ago Pontiac was touted as the brand most likely to be shoved off by a bleeding GM. But these rumours were denied by the company which stated that options were being investigated, including selling Pontiac.



That will no longer happen. As from the end of 2010 people won’t be able to buy new Pontiac-branded cars and trucks/ vans. In any case, Pontiac is more of an American brand than a world one.



More than this the other frail brands HUMMER, Saturn and SAAB could also be taken off the dealership floors. As many as 21 000 jobs could be affected. Prospective buyers for HUMMER and SAAB have been identified but nothing has come out of those discussions yet. The US-based carmaker is edging ever so close to filing for bankruptcy after loans of US$13.4 billion failed to bail out the company out of its 2008 annual loss of US$30.9 billion.



In South Africa GM SA recently announced it is to shed up to 700 jobs. The company also killed off several models from its Opel lineup in order to cut costs and improve margins.
