SOLD-OUT FERRARI SA APERTA REVEALED

Maranello has unveiled a roadster version of its successful 599 GTB called the SA Aperta. They are really milking this car, and considering it’s only four years in production, there could still be more versions appearing in the near future. If this is the first time you’ve heard of it, chances are you aren’t on the list of 80 lucky owners to which it is destined. That means it’s been sold out.

The SA Aperta is named after Sergio and Andrea Pininfarina, whose brand of the same name has been part and parcel with Ferrari for decades. It features a low-slung coupe profile with an even lower windscreen for better aerodynamics. Ferrari says although a soft top is supplied, it’s only for when the weather really gets pear-shaped. A stiffer chassis was installed to give it a ride that compares to its GTB sibling.

Power is provided by the V12 engine with a power output of 493kW, making the SA Aperta one of the most potent roadsters on the market today.

Personalisation options are almost endless and customers were able to virtually create their own cars, giving it that individual touch that buyers long for in this segment.
