MAZDA BT-50 IS ONE FOR JIMS 2011


    Mazda’s followingquite closely on the heels of sibling Ford by confirming it will unveil the all-new BT-50 bakkie (pickup) at JIMS 2011 next week. The big utility willgo on sale locally sometime in 2012,and will offer two new diesel engines, according to Mazda.


    “We are very excited to be unveiling the new BT-50 for the first time at the JohannesburgInternational Motor Show,” says DoreenMashinini, Mazda Marketing Manager. “The dynamic new design combined withincreased interior space, longer wheelbaseand greater power ensures all the comfort of a passenger car, alongside the versatility of a pickup.”

    It’s going to be a tough act to try and take down class leaders like Toyota Hilux, IsuzuKB and Nissan NP300. And of course, in-house competition from the new Ranger.
