VOLKSWAGEN WINS ENGINE OF THE YEAR AWARD

Volkswagen was the big winner when the announcements for the World Engine of the Year Awards were made. Its 1.4-litre twincharged engine won the coveted International Engine of the Year Award, which is the biggest title at these awards. This is the first time that VW has taken this prestigious award. The 1.4 TSI also won the Green Engine of the Year for being powerful yet clean.





BMW did not win the top award this time around but it did take a few category wins.







Mercedes-Benz also won an important category which has been dominated by BMW in the past. The awards are judged by 65 motoring journalists from 32 countries across four continents.
