2009 C63 AMG


    The C63 AMG comes with an aggressive body kit, a sporty interior, coupled with large performance tires and wheels, suspension and chassis improvement. According to Mercedes, the acceleration to 62 mph takes approximately 4.5 seconds. Though it is at the bottom of the Mercedes-Benz's sedan line, it has a comfortable cabin.









    At a maximum torque of 443 pound-feet which comes at 5000 rpm, this car has a powerful acceleration in its engine speed range. The AMG sport suspension and all new three link front axle design coupled with a 35 mm wider track including a stability program which allows the rear wheels to slip out a little during cornering gives the C63 outstanding handling, ensuring excellent road grip and low body movement when negotiating sharp corners at high speed. Deceleration is taken care of with 360 by 36 mm discs with 6 pistons fixed callipers on the front and 330 by 26 mm disc with four pistons fixed callipers on the rear. Vents were not present on the standard C-class is noticeable on the fascia to cool the brakes.





    The new AMG C63 comes with a new 7 speed AMG automatic transmission with paddle shift which enables the driver to select 3 different driving mode; "S" (Sport) where the grear shift are 30% faster than in "C" and around 50% faster compared to "M" mode. "M" (Manual) allows the driver to have full control over the gear shift either using the shifter or the padles while "C" (Comfort) for full automatic gear shift.






    The floating needle on the speedometer allows space for displaying trip, audio and other information. The LCD panel on the dashboard pops up upon turning on the car on board gadgets such as navigation, stereo as well as phone can be controller via the instrument panel. Among the usage of the LCD are for display of GPS maps, control of Sirius satellite radio (which comes with Harmon Kardon stereo system which uses 12 speakers aroung the cabin and a 320 Watts 8 channel amp) as well as for the Bluetooth phone usage. Also, since the navigation system in the car is using hard drive, it allows more storage. This hard drive also doubles as music storage where CD can be rip into the system. Alternatively, if you are a big fan of iPod, this car includes an iPod integration which can control the music using the steering wheel button and speedometer to display the information.

2009 CLS63 AMG


    The new face lift model for the year 2009 sees a replacement of its original four-bar grill with the more dramatic two-bar grill, with upper and lower mesh finished in Atlas Grey. The coupe-like car emphasize on comfort and convenient with its four doors, coupled with sleek, sensuous exterior lines. Its large rear doors and spacious rear seats also represent tangible added value.







    Also comes with a larger outside mirror featuring built-in arrow-shaped turn signal, and a new dual-five-spoke 19-inch wheels make the care even more striking. Completing the face lift model are the new rear bumper with trapezoidal dual exhaust pipes and arrow-shaped LED taillights.







    The interior is equipped with a sportier three-spoke steering wheel and new gauges. Its three chronometer-type gauges and two LCD bar graphs in the instrument cluster are accented by chrome rings and more wood trim.




    There are also four separate climate control zone which can be individually controlled, each on the front and rear seat. There is even a digital control panel for setting desired temperature and adjusting airflow for the rear passengers. Those new features are complimented by an abundance of leather and wood.


    The Mercedes CLS come with two sleek model. The CLS 550 powered with DOHC four-valve-per-cylinder V8 engine capable of producing 382-horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque and the CLS 63 AMG comes with AMG-designed 6.2-liter V8 that produces 507 bhp and 465 lb-ft of torque.

    The CLS 63 AMG engine which is developed by AMG, built from high-strength silicon-aluminum alloy, features four valves per cylinder, double overhead camshafts with variable valve timing, bucket tappets (rather than rocker arms), an 11.3 to 1 compression ratio and a variable intake manifold.
    Comes with seven-speed AMG Speedshift automatic transmission, it can be shifted manually by either a conventional lever or paddles shift on the AMG sport steering wheel. Providing 35% faster gear shifts with its AMG Speedshift electronic control while giving performance-minded drivers total control of shifting, the manual mode of AMG Speedshift does not make any automatic up / down shifts even when driving at max engine speed / full load.

    Equipped with giant vented and perforated disc brakes on its 14-inch disc and six-piston calipers up front and 13-inch discs with four-piston calipers at the rears, the river is ensured to be able to stop in no time. The 19-inch wheels with 8 1 and 9 1 inch widths carries 255 / 35 tires in front and 285 / 30 at rear.
