HTC Corporation a prezentat oficial, marţi, noul HTC Tatoo, un telefon ce utilizează platforma Android. Mobilul se doreşte a fi "accesibil maselor", potrivit HTC, din punctul de vedere al preţului, faţă de HTC Hero, fără a face, însă, rabat de la calitate.

"HTC Tatoo, cu interfaţa grafică HTC Sense, reprezintă o cale mai uşoară către personalizarea experienţei pe care o are fiecare dintre noi cu mobilul personal", a declarat Peter Chou, Chief Executive Officer, corporaţia HTC. HTC Tatoo este al doilea telefon ce înglobează HTC Sense, după HTC Hero, prin care utilizatorul îşi poate personaliza mobilul după pofta inimii.



HTC Tattoo dispune serviciile Google, printre care se numără Google Maps, Google Mail şi Android market, de unde utilizatorii pot descărca o mulţime de aplicaţii şi jocuri.

Telefonul dispune de o cameră cu autofocus de 3.2 megapixeli, intrare stereo de 3.5 mm, GPS, HSDPA, Wi-Fi şi memorie microSD ce poate fi extinsă. Telefonul va fi disponibil în Europa de la începutul lui octombrie, şi în restul lumii, în lunile care urmează. Deocamdată nu au fost făcute publice informaţii despre preţul noului handset HTC.

Google Street View Gets Smarter Navigation, 3D Effects

Street View has given us a near-endless supply of shenanigans, but it's always been awkward to actually use. Now, Google has implemented semi-3D "Smart Navigation," which makes your virtual walking and/or stalking a lot easier, and way, way cooler.

Google has overhauled the navigation system entirely, so that you don't have to use the slow, unintuitive arrows to make your way down the street. Instead, your cursor is mapped on a rough 3D model of the scene, with a convincing sense of depth. Just click where you want to go, and Street View takes you there, making the transition with an unexpectedly convincing pseudo-3D effect

It also works for off-road sights, like storefronts or distant scenery. These items are mapped as well, so if you lead your cursor to, say, the front door of your house, Street View will automatically take you to the best possible viewpoint.
