CITROEN SCORES WITH THE LADIES

    Citroën, which made its official return to South Africa at the beginning of the year as a fully-owned subsidiary of France is already making an impression on local motorists and motoring journalists with its stylish and practical range of cars.

    The latest accolades to come the way of the innovative French manufacturer were in the annual Women on Wheels (WOW) Car of the Year competition. The Citroën C3 won the keenly contested Best Hatchback award and the recently launched DS3 was voted Best Sports Car.
     

    A panel of judges – six motoring journalists – combined with votes from readers, decided on the winners in seven categories. Women’s Car of the Year is sponsored by Nedbank Vehicle Finance and staged in conjunction with a number of local women’s magazines.

    “We are delighted with these awards as we are well aware of how discerning and knowledgeable many South African women are when it comes to choosing a car,” said the Managing Director of Citroën South Africa, Frederic Chapuis.


    “The latest Citroën product ranges are being well accepted worldwide and we are very pleased at the positive reception they are receiving in South Africa,” he continued.

    “Besides introducing a wide choice of cars in all the major market segments we are also determined to ensure that they are backed up by excellent after-sales service from our expanding dealer network. “Improved customer satisfaction will continue to be a key part of our strategy in the years ahead, to enable us to meet the needs of car buyers.”

     One of the most important aspects of our newly-established local operation is the attention we have given to both parts supply and parts pricing to ensure the ready availability of competitively priced replacement parts.”

    “We have improved our parts pricing significantly – this is evident in the results which will be published in the upcoming Kinsey report which shows that our parts prices have become highly competitive. “We hold R35-million worth of stock, with the ability to reach dealers with key items within a 24 hour period”.  he said

    “The “vibe” surrounding Citroën in South Africa is very positive and we are extremely optimistic about our future. The perception of Citroën in this country is starting to change and we are committed to offering our customers not only quality product but excellent after-sales and service too.”
