Proton Cars (UK) presents a new model of its range, the Proton Gen-2 Persona. The latest addition to Gen-2 is a four-door saloon version of Proton popular five-door hatchback.
The Proton GEN-2 Persona is powered by a 1.6 liter Lotus-designed Campro which delivers a maximum power of 110 hp, 148 Nm of torque and a top speed of 118 mph. All models have a five-speed manual transmission gearbox with an optional four-speed automatic also available and superb ride and handling comes courtesy of Proton's sister company Lotus.
The Lotus influence is also evident in the exterior and interior design, with strong lines and neat design details. Storm gray interior offers a large surface area for drivers with flat-folding rear seat and 60:40 perfect ample space in the trunk. Air conditioning with pollen filter helps drivers keep warm in winter and cool in summer and front and rear power windows are standard. Entertainment is provided by an integrated Blaupunkt radio / CD player with MP3 compatible CD player and four speakers way.
Fully equipped for a safe, stress, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force, driver and passenger airbags, side bars, impact protection, power steering and reverse distance sensors all come as standard.
