Audi introduced the new facelift A5 range at the 2011 Frankfurt International Motor Show. Good news for A5 fans as they can expect to be able to buy these new cars from early 2012. The range itself remains the same in terms of body styles, meaning a Coupe, Cabriolet and the Sportback.
Main changes, as always, appear on the front and rear ends. The front features a new front bumper with redesigned LED headlamps that aren’t just made up of little joined dots anymore but of one continuous line. Larger air intakes also form part of the upgrade. The rear bumper is new too, with different rear lights and LED light strips.
Some interior changes were also effected to keep up with the exterior’s newness. Depending on the market, the Google Earth navigation system with internet integration will be available, presumably as an option.
Most of the engines remain the same however, which is not a bad thing. Main change is the introduction of the V6 supercharged 3.0 T, replacing the old 4.2-litre V8.
